Established in 1989, we are located in the upper Kiewa Valley in northeast Victoria’s alpine high country and offer fly-fishing for wild trout activities for beginners and experienced anglers during the trout season, which runs from September to June. We also offer fully catered for accommodation at Tawonga Fishing Lodge in the pretty little farming township of Tawonga, (pop. 250). We can accommodate up to six persons on a twin share basis with attractive package deals. Because we fish a choice of over nine different sub-alpine rivers and numerous mountain streams, we can place you on waters best suited to your current angling experience and gradually introduce you to more challenging situations as your fishing skills develop. We provide all fly-fishing gear free of charge or BYO and do not use boats or rafts, preferring to wade up clear running streams only. All waters we fish are of pristine drinking quality and naturally populated with wild-bred rainbow and brown trout. We also conduct morning and afternoon fly-fishing sessions with tuition and gear provided at our private waters, "Wildwood Willows”, on a year round basis. “Wildwood Willows” is amply stocked with brown, brook and rainbow trout to 3.5 kilograms, average 1.25 kilograms. Sessions are conducted on a “catch and release” basis although your catch may be kept for an additional fee. During winter we provide budget-priced off-mountain B&B accommodation at Tawonga Fishing Lodge for Falls Creek skiers’ during the Victorian ski season, from June to October. contact Email: info@anglingvic.com.au |
